International and local relations:Looking for assistance? Feel free to use the "volunteering system"

There are about 2000 foreigners who live in Chiyoda City. Thanks to the voluntary activities of every inhabitants, the international relations and international cooperations circle has broaden. Also " the volunteering for international relations and cooperations system", aiming at helping foreigners who live or work in the city, has been established so you are welcome to use it wthout any restraint.


ARE YOU IN ONE OF THESE SITUATION;

  • You would like to participate to a summer festival or an event of an area but you cannot speak Japanese very well,
  • You are looking for a guide for a festival, a museum or to show you around some places,
  • You would like to inquire a school, nursery or any other public facilities but you don't feel confident enough with your Japanese skills
  • You don't understand the meaning of some official papers you have received
  • You are looking for someone who can teach you about Japanese culture (calligraphy, flower arrangement...)
  • For any other request, please contact us
How to apply ?
  1. Come to the International Relations and Peace division of Chiyoda City Hall to fill in and submit the application form
  2. Choose a volunteer from the "volunteer files" (registration book)
  3. Chiyoda City Hall, as a go between, will introduce you the volunteered person/group
  4. You will discuss with the volunteer about the activity content, the time and expenses (volunteering is a free service, but if it involves any cost for the volunteer, you are kindly ask to pay for them)

VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION

Volunteer for International Relations and International Cooperation are also welcome to register at any time.
