The Permanent Exhibition introduces Chiyoda city's cultural assets including Chiyoda's history from ancient period till present under the theme of "Environment, Town and Human". *Entrance fee is for free.
On the same floor a Special Exhibition will hold various temporary exhibitions.
Special Exhibition: The display period is irregular and normally entrance fee is for free. However, according to the exhibition's theme, it may be necessary to pay an entrance fee at times.

Art Museums
The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo

This art museum houses 9,000 items, including paintings, pieces
of sculpture, woodblock prints and photographs concerned with modern
art. Located on the same site as Kitanomaru Park is the Crafts Museum
(Tel: 3211-7781), remodeled from the former Imperial Guards Headquarters
Bldg., which regularly displays pottery, lacquerware, dyeing, weaving
work and metal work. It also holds special exhibitions.
Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (last entry at 4:30 p.m.)
Admission: ¥420 for adults, ¥130 for students and ¥70
for children. (Admission fees vary for special exhibitions.)
Closed: Mondays (Tuesday if Monday is a national holiday), the New
Year holidays, and during preparation for new exhibits

Idemitsu Art Gallery

This art museum houses genre paintings, ukiyo-e woodblock prints,
and pottery mainly from Japan and China.
Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (last entry at 4:30 p.m.)
Admission: ¥800 for adults, ¥500 for college and senior
high school students, and free for junior high school students and
younger (must be accompanied by an adult)
Closed: Mondays (Tuesday if a Monday is a holiday) and during the

Communications Museum Teishin Park

Every aspect of telecommunications – broadcasting, international
telecommunications, telephone and postal systems – from pioneer
to the latest systems are displayed in this museum in an easy-to-understand
and fun-oriented exhibition style.
Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (last entry at 4:00 p.m.), until 6:30
p.m. on Fridays (last entry at 6:00 p.m.)
Admission: ¥110 for adults and ¥50 for children (free for
senior high school students and younger children on Sundays and
holidays)

Parliamentary Museum

The materials included in this museum, documentation dating from
the beginning of Japan’s parliamentary democracy and information
on politicians who helped shape the course of Japanese politics,
are an excellent source from which to learn about Japan’s
political history.

Meiji University Archaeological Museum

This museum displays unearthed artifacts from Japan’s Old
Stone Age to the Period of Ancient Burial Mounds.
Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays, until 4:30
p.m. Wednesday through Friday and until 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays
Admission: Free
Closed: Sundays, national holidays and during the New Year holidays.

This, Japan’s largest science museum, is equipped with exhibitions
ranging from outer space, nuclear technologies and agriculture.
The 5-story museum is designed to promote easy understanding of
advanced science and technology even for children.

Admission: ¥600 for adults, ¥400 for junior and senior high
school students and ¥250 for children aged 4 and older
