Also, it calls for a mutual understanding, for today is no longer the time to think only about our own peace and safety, but as a partner of the same planet we should deepen our friendship with other people of the world and show solidarity for the removal of nuclear weapons

Chiyoda City International Peace Manifesto

Brimming with life, Earth is our only home and we should make it a brightly shining star, full of peace and hope.

In the past, we have experienced war. Many people suffered grievous injuries and many lives were sacrificed. Let us solemnly pledge to future generations that war will never occur again.
Today conflicts continue around the globe. People are hungry and in pain. Environmental destruction continues.

This is not a time to think only of our own peace and security.

We who live, work, or study in the international city of Chiyoda must join hands with the people of the world to strive for global peace and the elimination of nuclear weapons.

As we look to the future, let us strengthen our friendship with the people of the world and strive for mutual understanding among all of our brothers and sisters on Earth.
We hereby declare that we will actively pursue the attainment of eternal peace on Earth.
