Social Education Centers

Social education centers are located in the Kudan and Uchi-Kanda communities. These centers, designed for group and circle activities, offer a wide range of lectures. Applications must be made by a group of at least five persons who either live, work or go to school in Chiyoda. Another requirement is that all groups must be involved in activities aimed at lifelong education. Registration is necessary.

Closed: The third Monday (Tuesday if Monday is a national holiday) and during the New Year holidays

Kudan Lifelong Learning Hall

Uchi-Kanda Social Education Center

Chiyoda Parkside Plaza

Built adjacent to educational, residential and welfare facilities, Chiyoda Parkside Plaza is a new type of multipurpose urban facility where everyone from children to senior citizens can get together, learn and enjoy leisure activities. Facilities include a multi-purpose hall, conference rooms, meeting rooms, library, children’s room and nursery room.
Closed: The third Sunday and during the New Year holidays (each facility also closes on other days.)

Shohei Domu-kan

Shohei Domu-kan is a joint elementary school, kindergarten, children’s center and library. During the hours that particular facilities are not in use, some of the elementary school facilities such as the rooftop schoolyard and gymnasium and the children’s center facilities such as the playroom and meeting room, are available for group use, while the pool and library are available for individual use.
There is also one parking space for the disabled available in the free parking lot for facility users.
Closed: The second Sunday, during the New Year holidays and other designated days. The library is also closed during inventory periods.

Kanda Sakura-kan

This facility is a joint elementary school, kindergarten, educational institute and library. During the hours that particular facilities are not in use, some of the elementary school facilities such as the schoolyard and gymnasium and the institute facilities such as the training room, are available for group use, while the pool, library and audio-visual library are available for individual use.
There is also a parking lot (a fee is charged) for facility users with 12 parking spaces available in the mechanical parking lot and two parking spaces in the ground area. There is also one parking space for the disabled available in the ground area free of charge.
Closed: The third Sunday, during the New Year holidays and other designated days. The library is also closed during inventory periods.
